Balm of Gilead Ministry (Sis. Shirley Alexander)

Promote Health awareness within the community and church by being proactive and educating/assisting members to live a healthy lifestyle through Christian Education.


Christian Education (Min. Pat Godfrey and Rev. Kevin Griffin)

To be a Kingdom Building Education Ministry that seeks to make disciples, teach, train/equip the whole person for spiritual growth as led by the Holy Spirit and undergirded by the Word of God.


Couples In Christ Ministry (Bro. Robert & Sis. Camelia Johnson)

To encourage married couples to put GOD first always, teaching couples to enjoy and nourish their relationships with Christ. To encourage unconditional love in marriage, a healing of marriage in the home and community, and a spiritual union experienced only by couples who truly know the love Christ has for His church.


Culinary Committee (Bro. Perry Lance / Bro. Lawrence Lindsay)

Coordinates activities of the church involving fellowship where wholesome meals are prepared and served to the congregation and other visiting parishioners.


Deaconess Ministry (Sis. Linda Berry)

As Deaconesses, we bring our God-given abilities to aid in the spiritual care of the membership.  Our primary responsibility is not one of recognition, nor popularity, but one of service and support.  We are dedicated to faithfully assisting our husbands in the general care of their appointed portion of the  membership; assisting with the preparation and fulfillment of Holy Communion; preparing candidates for baptism; and offering spiritual support and mentoring to our fellow sisters in Christ.  The Deaconess Board enjoys a genuine love and appreciation for the church, and it’s within the same spirit our devotion is extended.


Dance Ministry (Sis. Robin Bishop)

To praise the Lord through spiritually structured dance.


EAGLES Ministry (First Lady Phette Kerry)

To establish in our church and community a Titus II ministry focused on nurturing and training women in sound doctrine to live empowered, anointed lives that identify true Christianity in Spirit, Mind, Body and Soul.


Girl Scouts (Sis. April Durham)

Dedicated solely to girls where in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world.  In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives: strong values, social conscience, and conviction of their own self-worth.


Golden Harvest Ministry(Sis. Gwen Simmons / Sis. Audrey Brice)

This ministry brings to the attention that full obedience by God’s people should lead to divine blessings.  We must be willing to share our resources to provide for the needs of those who are without.  We should show reverence for God with gifts in proportion to our prosperity. Generous giving honors Gods.


Hospitality Committee (Sis. Tyneshia Gardner / Sis. Deborah Chisholm)

To greet members and guest and set the tone for a memorable and rewarding worship experience as they enter the church for Sunday worship services and various other church function.


Intercessory Prayer Ministry (Sis. Temeka Truesdale)

Through various opportunities the goal of the GAP Ministry is to uplift, educate, and encourage the Body of Christ in prayer.  The ministry also intercedes on the behalf of others and stands in agreement with others during prayer.


Men’s Fellowship Ministry (Rev. A. R. Muwwakkil)

The mission of the Men’s Fellowship Ministry at Chappell Memorial Baptist Church is to prepare men of God for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and to become mature men in Christ.


Music Ministry (Bro. Marcus Graham)

The deepest spiritual needs of people can be reached through music and the ministry of the choir. The mission of the music ministry is to assist in bringing a sense of  celebration and worshipful spirit for our God, to lead God’s people in singing praises, and to encourage God’s people as they become authentic worshipers of Christ.


Nursery Ministry (Sis. Bernadette Wilson)

Provides safe, secure, nurturing, clean and efficient care to children ages 6 weeks to five years old, through playing, praying, reading and exhibiting Christ-like patience and love.


Pastor’s Assistance Ministry (Sis. Viola Colbert)

You should hold high the Pastor’s arms that he may go forward strong in the knowledge that he has not only the power of God behind him, but the power of a one mind and that one purpose is to win the world for Christ.


Security Ministry (Bro. Louis Steele)

Singles Ministry (Sis. Zundrea Baldwin)

To help build spiritually strong single and single again adults ages 21 and up through Outreach Activities, Bible Studies, and Fellowship.


Sound & Visual Ministry (Bro. Craig Bell)

This ministry’s purpose is to effectively communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the congregation through the sound system, bringing glory to God.


Transportation Ministry (Bro. Albert Carroll)

Usher’s Ministry (Sis. Ora Edmonds)

Serve God, the Church and the Community. Be a ministry that renders the services of greeting and extending a Christian welcome to all who enter into God’s presence, while maintaining order as the congregation comes together to worship in the sanctuary. Be mindful to always use the spiritual gifts of Christianity, courtesy, alertness, promptness, courageousness in all that we do.


Youth Ministry (Tammy Lance, Interim )

Training young people to lead the cause of Christ, and apply Christianity to every area of life is what “youth ministry” is about.  Youth Ministry works to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person and seeks to draw young people into responsible participation in life, mission and work of the faith community.
